Special Event is requested for the MLK Charitable Corporation, Inc. annual “Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Activities" event. The Parade will be held on Monday, January, 19th, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., and the activities will be held at C.W. Thomas Park from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The applicant is also requesting road closures for 8th Avenue, 1st Street to Federal Highway, Stirling Road and Phippen Road to 4th Street to Ely Blvd., South on Ely to Phippen Waiters, North to NW 1st Street West to NW 1st Street to 12th Avenue. The applicant is also requesting cones and barricades along the parade route, BSO Police Escort for the parade and detail at the park.
